I ordered the Hong Kong No.1 Chinese Restaurant Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce on Rice. This is a lunch menu item and is priced at $14.5. It comes with a complimentary hot drink. For an extra $1, you can get a cold drink. I got a cold HK style milk tea.
The deep fried chicken steak has black pepper sauce on top. There is also a bowl of rice and two broccoli vegetables. The chicken steak was ok. I think this dish was average. Its nothing spectacular but not bad either.
Overall, an average lunch meal. The price is reasonable though. I anticipate that they will be raising their prices soon probably to the $15-16 range as that’s what most Chinese restaurants charge nowadays for lunch meals.
