Saint Germain Bakery is a Hong Kong Cantonese Chinese bakery specializing in various buns, breads, pastries and cakes. They currently have 6 locations in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia and 5 locations in Greater Toronto, Ontario. They are all located in Canada. Their bakery items are usually pretty good quality and the prices are usually a little higher than the typical Chinese bakeries. Basically, after your in-store purchase, they will give you a registration form to fill out. It asks for some of your personal details like your name, phone number and email. After filling it out, the staff will enter your details onto the computer and issue you a Saint Germain Bakery VIP Rewards Card.
The VIP card gives you loyalty points which is worth about 2% back in reward dollars. In addition, the VIP card allows you to get 10% off all future purchases at all Saint Germain Bakery locations.
Saint Germain Bakery Kerrisdale Cold HK Iced Lemon Tea Review (Price: $3.95)
I was surprised that Saint Germain Bakery now serves drinks as well! In addition to their bakery items, they offer cold and hot HK style milk tea, lemon tea and more. The cold drinks are “grab and go” and it is not served to order.
I saw them just finished a new batch of cold HK style iced lemon tea so I grabbed one. The price for the Saint Germain Bakery Kerrisdale Cold HK Iced Lemon Tea is $3.95.
There are about 4 slices of lemon inside which is probably half of a lemon. It comes in a cup that you can sip on.
This is pretty good as there’s now a ban on plastic straws and paper straws aren’t the best. Make sure to poke the lemons a bit before drinking it so that there’s some lemon flavour in the tea!
It was a pretty refreshing and nice drink.
