Below is the back of the Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch Chef’s Special Signatures Dishes Menu. It features a selection of various kitchen dishes, congee, soups and fried rice and noodles.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Steamed Pork & Shrimp Dumplings (Siu-Mai/Shao-Mai) Dim Sum Price & Review (Price: $7.15)

First up, we have the Western Lake Restaurant Steamed Pork & Shrimp Dumplings (also known as Siu Mai or Shao Mai in Chinese). The Chinese words on the menu states it should have some mushrooms and tobiko as well. There was indeed some tobiko on the top. However, it didn’t feel like these dumplings had mushrooms. Regardless, these are gigantic dumplings with shrimp and pork. There was a lot of shrimp and not too much pork. As such, it feels like I’m eating a shrimp dumpling. One of these dumplings is probably equivalent to two dumplings at another Dim Sum restaurant probably. These taste pretty good still. There were 4 pieces in a serving. Price is $7.15.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Steamed Dumplings with Prawns & Pea Tip Leaves Dim Sum Price & Review (Price: $7.15)

The second steamed dish we have is the Western Lake Steamed Dumplings with Prawns & Pea Tip Leaves. These are also really gigantic dumplings with lots of shrimp and some pea tip leaves. They taste pretty good too. Price is $7.15 and there are 3 dumplings in a serving.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Pan Fried Eggplant & Shrimp Paste with Black Bean Sauce Dim Sum Price & Review (Price: $7.25)

The Western Lake Pan Fried Eggplant & Shrimp Paste Dim Sum is drizzled with black bean sauce. It didn’t feel like these were pan fried. Instead, they were probably deep fried. There was also lots of shrimp in these eggplants. They were quite tasty. There are 4 pieces in a serving and the price is $7.25.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Pan Fried Shrimp & Chive Dumplings Dim Sum Price & Review (Price: $7.95)

The Western Lake Pan Fried Shrimp & Chive Dumplings Dim Sum was probably one of my favourite dim sum items that we ordered. It was definitely pan fried. I like the slightly crispy skin. Inside, there’s chives and lots of shrimp. There were 4 pieces in a serving and the price is $7.95.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant Dim Sum Tea Price & Receipt

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant dim sum prices are not the most expensive. However, they are also not the cheapest in East Vancouver. With that said, their dim sum portions are huge. For dine-in, they also charge $1.30/person for tea.

Overall, Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant serves large portions of food. The quality is pretty good too for the prices they charge. Even though we only ordered 4 dim sum for 2 people, we still ended up packing 2 of the dim sum to go. This shows how much food there is. Its a popular restaurant in the neighbourhood as there’s usually always a lineup starting at 11am.

Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant is located at 4989 Victoria Dr, Vancouver, BC, V5P 3T7, Canada.
