The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Pork & Preserved Egg Congee Large Bowl Dim Sum cost $9 for the small bowl and $18.50 for the large casserole bowl. We went with the large bowl so it cost $18.50. This can probably serve 6-8 people. There was quite a bit of lean pork and century egg in this congee. It wasn’t too thick so it was just right. There’s also green onions on the top too.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Fried Beef Flat Rice Noodle Dim Sum (Price: $17)
We ordered the Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Fried Beef Flat Rice Noodle from the dim sum menu for $17. They also have a lunch set meal combo for $13.50 with free hot drink. However, that size is smaller and is meant for one person. This larger size version had lots of flat rice noodles stir-fried in soy sauce. There’s also bean sprouts, beef and green onions too. It is served with hot chili sauce. This dish taste not bad and you can’t really mess up on stir-fried beef flat rice noodle.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Shrimp Rice Rolls Dim Sum Review (Price: $7.75)
The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Shrimp Rice Rolls Dim Sum is not wrapped the traditional way. The shrimp fillings are on the outside instead of being wrapped inside. Price for this is $7.75 and it is served with soy sauce. The rice flour rolls were a little sticky and chewy which isn’t a nice texture.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Rice Rolls Dim Sum with Chinese Donut Review (Price: $7.75)
The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Rice Rolls Dim Sum with Chinese Donut price is $7.75. The serving was pretty large with 12 pieces. There’s a single whole Chinese donut in this. there’s also pork floss sprinkled on the top. While the serving is large and priced well, the rice rolls were a little sticky and chewy just like the shrimp steamed rice rolls. The Chinese donuts were also not warm or hot which means the Chinese donut is not freshly deep fried. This dish is served with soy sauce, hoisin sauce and peanut sauce.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Deep Fried Prawns with Almonds Dim Sum Review (Price: $7.75)
The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Deep Fried Prawns with Almonds Dim Sum is not something you see at every dim sum restaurant. Price for this is $7.75 and there are four pieces. It is served with sweet chili Thai sauce. The prawns inside were pretty good but the texture was kind of weird to eat it with these large almond chunks on the outside.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Gold Balls with Shrimp & Tofu Paste Dim Sum Review (Price: $7.50)
The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Gold Balls with Shrimp & Tofu Paste Dim Sum price is $7.50. There are four pieces and it is served with sweet chili Thai sauce. There’s also some cucumber sticks at the bottom which was cool. This taste a lot better than the deep fried prawns with almonds. The outer layer is crispier and easier to chew than almonds. This is not a bad dim sum.
Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Shrimp Dumplings Dim Sum Review (Price: $7.75)
You can tell a restaurant’s dim sum quality by tasting the traditional steamed shrimp/prawn dumplings. The Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. Steamed Shrimp Dumplings Dim Sum came with four pieces and its priced at $7.75. The shrimps were alright but the skin was chewy and sticky. The quality isn’t that good for the skin so I would not recommend ordering this.
Overall, Mei Le Bakery & Restaurant Inc. dim sum prices are very reasonable. However, the quality is only average and not the best. Perhaps they try to specialize in a little too many things including Hong Kong style set lunch meals, dim sum and a bakery. However, there’s not too many dim sum and Hong Kong style restaurants nearby so this is probably one of the only few locations where you can get these types of food.
