Sun Yee Cafe Menu
This is the Sun Yee Cafe combo menu that includes a complimentary hot drink. It has rice dishes, baked items, pasta and curry items. They also have another menu but those ones are a la carte and don’t include a drink.
This is the back of the Sun Yee Combo Lunch Menu. It has Asian dishes, salads and special items.
They also have weekly special where you can get a meal for $12.95. It includes a daily soup and hot drink. They also have tea time special from 3pm-5pm.
Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Malay Style Curry Fried Flat Rice Noodle Lunch Menu Combo (Price $14.95 + $1 Cold Drink)
I got the Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Malay Style Curry Fried Flat Rice Noodle. It is $14.95 and there is a hot drink included. For an extra $1, I requested to have a cold drink with no ice.
Unfortunately, they really decided to cheap out and give me half a cup of Hong Kong Style Milk Tea when I asked for no ice. I can understand if they gave me slightly less but half a cup is pretty bad. Major disappointment.
The Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Malay Style Curry Fried Flat Rice Noodle had eggs, shrimp, bean sprouts and green onion. This taste ok and wasn’t too special.
Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Ox Tail Braised in Red Wine with Rice Lunch Menu Combo (Price: $12.95)
We also got their weekly special (dine-in only) – Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Ox Tail Braised in Red Wine with Rice. We forgot to take the picture of the hot lemon tea but we got that as the hot drink.
The combo meal also came with a daily soup. We choose the tomato soup with vegetables. This was a pretty nice and tasty soup.
The Sun Yee Chinese Cafe Ox Tail Braised in Red Wine with Rice had a large bowl of rice. The Ox Tail meat was nicely braised with the red wine flavours. The meat was tender and not too hard. There were also some carrots and mushrooms in the dish.
All of this was priced at only $12.95 which is a very good deal!
Overall, its an average restaurant. The dining environment is not the most modern. However, their weekly specials and tea time specials are pretty good deals. Note that these are available only for dine-in customers.
