It was Father’s Day so I decided to go get some Fish & Chips takeout at Cockney Kings Fish & Chips in Kensington Square Plaza in Burnaby. Cockney Kings Fish & Chips as the name implies are really famous for their delicious and crispy batter on their fish. Below is our Cockney Kings Fish & Chips review as well as the prices for the items.

Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Cod Deep Fried (Price: $5.7. per piece)

The Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Deep Fried Cod is one of their signature items. The batter is very crispy and not too oily. The fish taste delicious as well. Each individual piece cost $5.70. We got 2 pieces so it was $11.40.

Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Cod Fish Tacos (Price: $9.95)

The Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Cod Fish Tacos features deep fried cod, coleslaw veggies, Pico De Gallo and their what-what sauce. The toppings were pretty decent. There was a strong taco flavour from the tortilla shell. Price is $9.95 for three tacos.

I used the wrong sauce unfortunately. As you can see from the picture below, I think I put their homemade Tzatziki sauce on the Cod Fish Tacos instead of the orange spicy sauce. The Pico De Gallo was also supposed to go on the tacos as well. But I put it on the Calamari.

Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Deep Fried Calamari (Price: $8.95)

The Cockney Kings Fish & Chips Deep Fried Calamari includes homemade tzatziki sauce & red onions as advertised on their menu. Unfortunately, I used their what-what sauce (from the tacos) on the calamari. Regardless, it was really good and tasty.

I didn’t see any onions on the Calamari so I thought the Pico De Gallo from the tacos were supposed to go on the calamari as it has the Pico De Gallo has onions. However, it was meant for the Fish Tacos.

Note that Cockney Kings Fish & Chips dine-in menu prices and takeout menu prices are different. Takeout prices are about 10-20% cheaper. For takeout, they wrap everything in paper. Its definitely a good thing as it soaks up the unhealthy oils. The portions are generally pretty large at Cockney Kings Fish & Chips. You can definitely get filled up fast. Prices are quite reasonable for takeout. Overall a nice meal but its quite unhealthy as everything is deep fried pretty much.

Cockney Kings has two locations. One is in New Westminster while the other is in Burnaby. The location that I went to is located at 6574 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC, V5B 1S1, Canada. It is at the Kensington Square Plaza.
