Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Pan Fried Pork Buns Dim Sum Review (Price: $8.28)
First up, we have the Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Pan Fried Pork Buns Dim Sum. These are really tasty and good. The bottom of the bun is slightly crispy from being pan fried. Inside, the pork filling had some soup inside. Be careful when you are eating this as the soup is very hot. The green onions on top of the bun was a nice touch as well. Price is $8.28 for 5 pieces.
Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings Xiao Long Bao Dim Sum Review (Price: $8.28)
The second dish we had was the Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) Dim Sum. There are 6 pieces in a serving and there is some vinegar sauce that you can dip. The pork dumplings have very hot soup inside so be careful again when you are eating this. These taste pretty good too. Price is $8.28.
Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck 2 Course Meal Review (Price: $43.98)
We ordered the Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck 2 Course Meal. It was a great deal at $43.98. A lot of Chinese restaurants usually charge around $60 for this combo dish nowadays. Basically, they use a whole roasted duck and make it into two courses. The first course is Beijing Peking Duck Skin with Steamed Crepes. The second course is Stir-fried Beijing Peking Duck Meat with Lettuce Wrap.
Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck Skin with Steamed Crepes
The Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck first course comes with crispy roasted duck skin and imitation crab flavoured chips. There are also 10 pieces of steamed crepes. Condiments include green onions, mini cucumber slices and hoisin sauce. You eat the imitation crab flavoured chips by itself. For the crepes, you basically put some hoisin sauce, cucumbers, green onions and a piece of duck skin. You then wrap it in the crepe and eat it. This is one of my favourite dishes as its very tasty.
Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck Meat with Lettuce Wrap
The Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck second course comes with stir fried duck meat with mixed vegetables and crispy noodles. It is served with iceberg lettuce and hoisin sauce. Though, we didn’t get a different set of sauce condiments for this. It was essentially the same as the duck skin crepes. Wrapping the stir fried duck meat with hoisin sauce on the lettuce wrap was quite refreshing and tasty. There was a lot of duck meat.
Here is a closer look at the stir-fried duck meat. On the bottom, there is crispy noodles. It adds a bit of crunchy texture.
Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant Beijing Peking Duck 2 Course, Xiao Long Bao Steamed Pork Dumplings, Pan Fried Pork Buns Price Receipt & Price
This is the receipt and total price for our dinner for the night. For 3 people at $63.57, it was a very reasonable price. It was just the right amount of food. Dinner usually cost more compared to lunch and breakfast.
Overall, a great dinner meal. Though, one thing to note is that I was quite thirsty after eating all this. I think the Beijing Peking Duck and the hoisin sauce had a lot of MSG. Jin Jiang Shanghai Chinese Restaurant is located at 5411 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 2G1, Canada. It is in the Metrotown Kingsway area.
