On the outside, The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Station Square has a sign advertising their seasonal lunch set menu specials. The specials start at $29.99 and you can add $1.99 for coke or $6.99 for granny recipe plum juice with unlimited refill. These lunch special combos are available everyday before 5pm.
They also advertise that they have happy hour everyday from 9-11pm. You can get 20% off during this time excluding alcohol.
Inside the restaurant, there’s a notice saying they prefer cash or debit. If you pay by credit card, they will charge a 2% credit card transaction fee.
Its best to reserve your table online in advance. If you are booking for the weekends or holidays, I recommend you start booking it 1-2 weeks in advance. Spots during prime time meal (i.e lunch from 11-2pm) tend to fill up fast on weekends and holidays. If you do end up waiting over a certain amount of time at the restaurant, they will give you free food items for your hot pot menu. See the below image.

After you choose your protein option, you choose your individual hot pot soup base. You can add $0.99 for two different soups (Silver and Spicy Soup or Tomato and Spicy Soup). You also get to choose your starch option which could either be noodles or rice. Both starch options come with unlimited refills.
After that, you select if you want any drinks and decide on your spice level.

The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Station Square has a large selection of sauces and condiments available for you to choose from during lunch hours.
There are also stuff like cilantro, green onions, garlic, chili and more.
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Station Square also has a lunch dessert item. Today, its the Bubur Cha Cha which is basically coconut milk sago with taro and sweet potato. It is a Malaysian and Singaporean sweet dessert item.
You basically scoop some up yourself and put it into a bowl. This is a cold dessert.
There are also some Kimchi that you can get too. Pretty nice to get some spicy Korean Kimchi lettuce and cucumbers.
The dessert and kimchi are placed next to each other.

During dinner hours, you can get the exact same sauces as lunch time. They switch to dinner time around 5pm. If you started lunch around 4:30pm, you probably can get both the lunch and dinner items. For dinner, they added some extra seasonal fruits that you can get. I think the fruits can vary depending on the day and season.
This time, there’s cut up oranges and grapes.
There are also some peanuts that you can get too.
The lunch sweet dessert Bubur Cha Cha coconut milk sago is replaced with edamame.
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Special Set Menu New Zealand Lamb Shoulder Review (Price: $29.99 + $0.99 Silver & Spicy Soup)
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Special Set Menu Combo New Zealand Lamb Shoulder price is $29.99. It includes a individual size portion of New Zealand Lamb Shoulder meat. I also got some noodles and a veggie tray. The veggies tray contains quail eggs, shrimp pate balls, fried bean curd, luncheon spam meat, enoki mushroom, corn, shiitake mushroom, carrot, broccoli and lettuce. There’s quite a variety in the veggie tray.
For the individual soup base, I paid an extra $0.99 to get dual soups. These include a spicy soup and their classic exquisite silver broth soup. The soup broth, sauces and condiments determine a lot on the flavour of the food. The freshness of the food also makes a difference.
These are some of the sauces that I got. I got the meat sauce mixed with cilantro and green onions. I also got a satay sauce mixed with green onions and cilantro. Great for hot pot dipping or mixing it with noodles. I also got some Kimchi to eat too.
Here, I mix half the cooked noodles with satay sauce while the other half is mixed with the meat sauce. These taste really good.

The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Set Special Menu Selected Beef Plate is priced at $27.99. It includes a individual size portion of beef and noodles. We also got a veggie tray that is similar to the other lunch set combos. The tomato soup taste delicious with lots of tomato flavour.
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Shrimp Pate Balls Review (Price: $18.99)
On top of the lunch set combo, we also ordered some a la carte items. These include The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Shrimp Pate. It is priced at $18.99 which is a little expensive for the amount of shrimp pate you get. It is served in a nice bowl with spoon.
The server would automatically come over and help you break the shrimp pate into smaller pieces. Here, she split the shrimp pate into 7 shrimp balls. Once cooked, these shrimp balls are really tasty and fresh!
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Jumbo Scallop Seafood Review (Price: $14.99)
We also order a la carte The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Jumbo Scallop Seafood. It is priced at $14.99 and there are six large pieces of scallops on a bed of ice. These fresh scallops once cooked taste really fresh and good. It is a little on the expensive side at $14.99 for 6 pieces.
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Fried Bean Curd Review (Price: $7.99)
Last, we also ordered a la carte The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Fried Bean Curd. Price is $7.99. There are 6 rolls in a serving. Basically, you dip these crunch fried bean curd into your hot pot soup. Within 15 seconds, you should remove it from the hot pot and eat it. That way, it maintains most of its flavours still.
The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Lunch Dessert Review
As mentioned earlier, there is free The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Station Square lunch dessert. You get it yourself near the condiments and sauces bar. This is Bubur Cha Cha and its a sweet soup dessert that’s cold.
It has coconut milk sago, taro and sweet potato. This taste not bad and pretty good.
At the end, the servers will give you The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Charcoal Ice Cream Cone as well. Its served in a charcoal black cone and the vanilla ice cream is quite soft. This was a great way to finish off the meal. The waiter even asked if we want more ice cream still.

However, we recommend parking underground so that you have more time. Some lots are 2 hours while others are 3 hours at the Station Square underground parkade. The time limit for surface parking is quite short in duration.
